Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic team captain who was awarded gold at the 2012 Olympics. Aly Raisman has the distinction of having six Olympic medals, as well as two World Championships gold medals. Aly is a native of Needham which is located in Massachusetts. Her love for the sport can be traced back through an 18-month-old "mommy with me" class. Aly Raisman is a proponent of body positivity. She is also an exemplary leader on the floor and off, and she spoke about Larry Nassar during his sentencing hearing. Aly Raisman, born in 1994 began gymnastics as when she was a child. She helped her U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. In 2012, the gymnast won two gold medals in the London Olympics One at the team event and one for individual floor exercises in addition to an Olympic bronze medal on the beam. Raisman was back at the Olympics again in Rio in 2016, winning two silver medals. One of them was in each of the all around floor and all-around exercises, and another in gymnastics women's team competition. Raisman disclosed in 2017 that she had been sexually assaulted by team doctor Larry Nassar.
